Eczema is a skin disease that happens due to dry skin, swimming in chlorinated pools, food allergy or intolerance, perfumes, hormonal changes, stress, pregnancy conditions, changes in temperature, pollution, excess alcohol consumption, smoking, fat metabolism, etc.  It is also known as atopic dermatitis. Take some organic raw honey. Wash the affected area with warm water, and pat them dry. Apply a thin layer of honey over affected skin area. Just dab it, don’t rub it. Keep for 20 minutes. Rinse it off with cool water and then dry. Repeat this process for 3 times a day.

2. Cornstarch and oil

A mixture of cornstarch and oil is also good for eczema problem. Mix cornstarch with water, and make a paste. Add a moisturizer to keep it balanced, for that mix it with either grapeseed oil or olive oil. Do not make a much thick paste, it will be difficult to spread and also not too thin paste as it is watery. Make a properly balanced paste and apply it to over infected area. Keep for 20 minutes, then wash it off with warm water.

3. Coconut oil

Coconut oil helps in treating dry, flaky and itchiness of the skin. You need to have a high-quality organic cold pressed virgin coconut oil to treat eczema. This oil is much effective than the creams and lotions that you buy spending a lot of money for treating eczema. The reason to use cold pressed coconut oil is that it contains all nutrients, minerals, and enzymes which remain intact during the cold pressing process.

4. Aloe Vera

If you are looking for natural home remedies for eczema then extract fresh aloe juice from the leaves rather than buying a bottle of aloe juice. Take few leaves of aloe Vera and squeeze out the gel. Apply this gel softly over your affected skin area. Store the remaining gel in the fridge for other uses. Aloe Vera is safe to use, does not have any negative effects. Melt beeswax and jojoba oil and mix them well then add coconut oil and stir. Now, heat Shea butter and pour the mixture into a glass jar. Add some drops of lavender essential oil to the whole mixture. Stir well and let it cool naturally. Apply it over the affected areas.

Glycerine is one of the most common home remedy used to treat dry skin for every age. Take glycerin, filtered water, and a spray bottle. Mix glycerin and filtered water, in equal amounts and pour them into the spray bottle. Shake the bottle until they are blended nicely. Spray the mix on the affected skin.

Oatmeal is also a good home method to reduce inflammation and relieve discomfort of eczema. A bath with plain old oatmeal can help moisturize and soothe your affected skin. Oatmeal has anti-inflammatory properties that help to relieve the discomfort associated with eczema. Moreover, it also relieves the itchiness and other skin problems.

Take some oatmeal and pour it in some muslin cloth, then tie it off. Soak it in a bath tub for around 10-11 minutes, and lay down. Use a clean towel to pat it dry.
