7 Things that Happen to Your Body When You Turn 30

You have heard this line many times, people actually say to one another when they meet after a long time- “Time changes everyone”. But it is not only the attitude, I’ll also add changes that take place in your body especially when you enter your 30s. So here we gonna talk about the changes that take place in your body when turn 30.

In our age of 20, there were probably a lot of things we wanted to do by the time we turn 30 because we think that people over this age are actually quite old.

However, the truth is that we don’t feel like 30 years old till our birthday hits. It feels like you lived those 20s moments yesterday only. But when you see those fine lines on your face, joint pain, slow metabolism, it’s a clear indication that it’s time you’ve actually entered your 30.

Well, there is no doubt that turning 30 brings about several changes. Let’s find out exactly what they are.

1. Slower metabolism

This is actually a well-known change, but it is not noticed so easily till you pay attention. As we enter our 30s, our metabolism gets slower. It means that to maintain a healthy weight in this age becomes a little bit harder. It actually requires a healthy and balanced diet along with getting an appropriate amount of exercise. If you continue your same diet what you took when you were 25 then surely you are likely to start packing on a few pounds year-after-year and find our jeans getting tighter and tighter. Your favorite dress won’t fit anymore!

2. Joint get stiff and bones become thin

Say “hello” to the start of joint pain. When you wake up in the morning, everything feels extra stiff, you feel much tired from yesterday’s workout, and start noticing more cracks and crunches as you walk, bend or squat down.

Most of the times, joint pain involves inflammation which is caused by injury or overuse, but as we allow our body to rest, following a healthy lifestyle, our body recovers quickly and inflammation heals. But this healing becomes harder as we get older. It is not the same case when we reach 30. What gets noticed is the effects on our joints, we don’t usually notice it happening to our bones.

Bone loss begins in our 30s and as we age and continue to progress through life, it can even lead to osteoporosis if we are not regularly exercising, consuming calcium-rich foods and staying active. Having a healthy, balanced diet with exercise is important to continue walking when you get older otherwise you’ll be only able to walk 5-6 steps which cover your washroom area only.

3. The appearance of wrinkles

Everyone loves to have flawless skin, but we all know at some point those dreaded wrinkles are going to appear, and it’s not uncommon for them to start showing during our 30s.

But you do have options to still look young. You love to have summer pool and beach days so do wear a sunscreen before stepping out in sun. Sunscreen is a must for helping prevent the onset of wrinkles. Also, it is highly recommended to use a moisturizer daily to keep your skin soft and supple.

4. Hormonal changes and decreased fertility

There are many hormonal changes that take place when we reach puberty and same is the case as we reach our 30s. You might have heard the saying, “Your biological clock is ticking”. Well, this maybe an issue with you and maybe it isn’t.

Every person has the different body type, and the body reacts in its own way. While some women have a healthy pregnancy in their age of 35 also, some might associate risk in 30 only. Fertility begins to decrease in our 30s, especially past age 35. These later pregnancies often have additional health risks associated, including an increase in miscarriages. This is the reason why it is advised to all ladies to have their babies before 30 to avoid any kind of risk.

Also, aside from decreased fertility, some women even begin to see the start of pre menopause, as they start through the phase of the 30s. Well, pre menopause is a very personalized experience for each woman, often includes symptoms such as irregular periods, mood swings, worsening PMS, depression, night sweats, and anxiety.

5. Increased stress

Stress is something that naturally increases as we age because we have so much to worry about. Our 30s can be full of a whole new world of stresses in our everyday lives that we haven’t yet faced. We are learning to manage our marriage having babies and raising our children, buying homes, planning of investments, retirement savings plans, basically, we are likely to start facing the reality of aging parents.

Even thought of any of those things makes you worry in your 20s also. Stress can affect your body in many ways, making your situation worse, such as migraines, depression, fatigue, upset stomach, trouble sleeping, anxiety and alcohol abuse so it is important that we learn to manage it in healthy ways while we are still young.

But you need to manage and take of yourself. You will have to find what works best for you, to make you feel relaxed, which can be curling up with a cup of tea and read a good book, practice yoga or meditation, or having a massage.

6. You discover gray hairs

This is something you can’t stop. You can only color them. Sometimes they gather in a clump or they form a streak. Also, sometimes a lone soldier heads out across your scalp.

7. Need to check you lumpier breasts

Sometimes lumpier breasts is a perfectly harmless change in hormones or breast tissue, might happen because of your period or a benign condition such as fibroadenoma. But, you should be checking your breasts regularly and if you feel there’s anything not good, then don’t hesitate to get them checked by the doctor.
