Cinnamon is a spice obtained from the inner bark. It is used in both sweet and spicy foods. The term ‘cinnamon’ also refers to the mid-brown color of the spice.

There are two varieties of cinnamon:

1. Ceylon ( also called true cinnamon)

2. Cassia cinnamon
